2nd Oppo Post: I went to a place

Scene: I was getting my car smogged in a primarily Asian community in San Diego the other day. After consuming enough Thai food to last me for the upcoming months, I had some time to kill. Wandering ensued, with the hope of stumbling upon some maaaaad JDM eye candy. Hidden away between a nail salon and a massage therapy building, in a seemingly small and less than noteworthy used car shop, was a doorway into some of the very best that Japan (and some other countries) has to offer in terms of automotive enthusiasm.

Needless to say, it took the smog shop multiple annoyed messages about my car being done to drag me from this slice of amazeballs.

I present to you the spoils of my exploration.

(apologies in advance for less than exceptional picture quality. Not even going to try and blame it on the camera, lighting, moon phase, etc.)

Bonus: this guy’s badass lambo from the other week (he was actually driving it! Like, on the street! Unheard of.)

Yeah. But you’re officially not allowed to even shoot fireworks in city limits. I’ve done it anyway because none of the cops actually care. I’m not a very gun person but if I wanted to shoot, I could go to my grandad’s house.
